Messaging policy

Consent and opt-in

Messagecastr sends transactional SMS notifications only to individuals who have been registered by an event organizer.

How recipients are added

Vendors and exhibitors are added to Messagecastr only by the event organizer, and only when the exhibitor has voluntarily provided their contact information as part of registering for or being accepted into an event. Organizers may not add contacts who have not freely shared their phone number with them directly.

Messages sent through Messagecastr are strictly transactional: setup reminders, schedule changes, weather alerts, and other event-related communications. This app is great for sending instructions during emergencies that may arise during a public event. This app is never to be used to send marketing messages.

Message frequency: Varies based on event activity. Message and data rates may apply.

Event organizers are required to obtain written consent before adding a contact to Messagecastr. Download the exhibitor consent form →

After the organizer adds a contact, they will receive a one-time SMS from Messagecastr. They must reply START to activate notifications. Contacts can reply STOP at any time to opt out, or START again to re-enable notifications.
